Testing of Model: Hinge
The cabinet was fastened against tilting by means of clamps. The door was then opened 90° and loaded
100 mm from the edge of the handle. The permanent deflection was measured vertically from the lower
edge of the door and down to the floor. The loading was increased gradually. Neither door nor hinges
show signs of breakage.
Requirement in BS 5873 part 4:1998, section 5.2.1 level, hard is 45 kg.
