GENERAL NOTES ON COMPACT LAMINATE
Compact laminate is manufactured from kraft paper, which is compressed
into a strong plate during a process using high pressure and heat.
The top and bottom layer has coloured laminate paper impregnated with
melamine. This makes the structure sturdy and durable with a surface that is
easy to clean and maintain.
MAINTENANCE OF COMPACT LAMINATE
Day-to-day cleaning of compact laminate should be carried out using clean
water and a damp cloth. Avoid the use of scouring powder, steel wool or
other abrasive products, as they can scratch the compacte laminate surface.
Compact laminate has resistance to ordinary detergents but will not tolerate
acids or base solvents. For removal of refractory stains we recommend the
use of a universal detergent - other than sulfone. Following this the worktop
should be washed with a clean damp soft cloth again.
